Tom Susman

Tom has a decade of experience providing lobbying, public relations and strategic planning services to his clients. He is a managing member of TSG Consulting, LLC.

He was appointed by Governor Bob Wise as Director of the West Virginia Public Employees Insurance Agency (PEIA) on January 16, 2001, Director of the West Virginia Insurance and Retirement Services (IRS) on June 1, 2002, and Acting Cabinet Secretary of the West Virginia Department of Administration in April 2003. He resigned from state government in June of 2004, returning to TSG Consulting, LLC.

A former member of the West Virginia House of Delegates from 1987 to 1992, Tom served as Chair of the Insurance Committee in 1990, 1991 and 1992. During that time, the state completely rewrote its small group health insurance laws.

Former President of Mountaineer Outdoor Sign Company and the managing editor for The Gulf Times, Tom's experience in advertising and public relations is extensive.

He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the First National Bank of Beckley.
